Mark graduated from Sheffield Hallam University with BSc(HONS) Physiotherapy in 2004. He started his career working for the NHS at Warrington Hospital. His varied NHS workload involved physiotherapy of out-patient Musculo-skeletal patients in both hospital and GP clinics, rehabilitating patients following Orthopaedic operations, and delivering a Rheumatology clinic for patients with chronic and arthritic conditions. He finished his career in the NHS as a senior physiotherapist and clinical lead for physiotherapy in A&E and minor injuries, heading up a team of physiotherapists assessing and treating acute / sporting injuries. As well as the NHS, Mark has worked in private hospitals in the Manchester area for many years and has worked at Katie Copeland since January 2012.
His main clinical interests are in musculo-skeletal therapy, specifically in the upper limb and tendinopathy conditions. He regularly attends training courses to keep up to date with the latest evidence based assessment and treatment techniques and is currently working towards a post graduate MSc degree in Advanced Physiotherapy at Salford University. He specializes in exercise rehabilitation, muscle imbalance, spinal manipulation and mobilization, sort tissue / myofacial release, acupuncture / dry needling, and Kinesio sport taping.
He is a member of the Acupuncture Association of Chartered Physiotherapists (AACP) and he is a clinical mentor for physiotherapy students from Liverpool and Manchester Metropolitan Universities.
Out of work he enjoys sports including mountaineering, rock climbing, trail running, motor sport and playing football to a high amateur standard.
