Mark Curtis

Mark trained at Sheffield Hallam University qualifying in 2004. Since then he has worked in the NHS (Halton Hospital, Runcorn) and Private (Oaklands Hospital, Salford) sectors. His workload involves physiotherapy assessment and treatment in out-patients with referrals from GP’s and Orthopaedic Consultants, but he also runs a minor injuries physiotherapy clinic in the A & E Department and in a Rheumatology clinic advising long term patient management and patient rehabilitation programmes.

His main clinical interests are in musculo-skeletal therapy and is working towards a post graduate MSc degree having already completed a module in ‘Management and Concepts of Musculoskeletal Trauma’ at Liverpool University. He is continuing at Manchester Metropolitan University studying modules in ‘Sports Injury Management’ and ‘Neuro–Muscular Dysfunction’.

He is a member of the Acupuncture Association of Chartered Physiotherapists (AACP) and he is a clinical mentor for physiotherapy students from Liverpool and Manchester Met. Universities.

Out of work he enjoys sports including mountaineering, rock climbing, trail running and playing football to a high amateur standard. His other keen interest is in motor sport, building and racing kit cars.
